Learning and living in the charming community
of Macon, Georgia, is an experience cherished by our students and
graduates. While a common perception of law school is that it is
a place where students spend all day, every day, hard at work, our
students dispel that myth by taking advantage of all the cultural,
historic, entertainment, and recreational outlets.
About Macon
- Macon has more cherry blossoms than any other
city in the world
- More than 5,500 of the buildings in Macon
are on the National Register of Historic Places
- Macon’s only architectural casualty
of the Civil War was the Cannonball House, a Greek Revival style
mansion into which a Union cannonball crashed
- The Music Factory, located inside the Georgia
Music Hall of Fame, is the only dedicated children's music museum
in the country
- "Southern Rock" was born in Macon
at Capricorn Records—The Allman Brothers Band, Marshall
Tucker Band, Wet Willie, and Lynyrd Skynyrd all recorded there

and heritage. Macon has been, and in some cases currently is, the
home to such musical legends as Otis Redding, Little Richard, the
Allman Brothers, James Brown, Lena Horne, and Rolling Stone keyboardist

limitless outlets for outdoor recreation and leisure. Located in
close proximity to the Smoky Mountains of north Georgia and the
