Judicial Professionalism in a New Era of Judicial Selection

On October 21-22, 2004, the Mercer Law Review and the Mercer Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism held a symposium devoted to recent changes in the law of judicial campaign speech and the potential consequences of those changes. The symposium was planned and conducted in cooperation with the Court Futures Committee of the State Bar of Georgia, which is currently studying judicial selection. The program included the following events.

Keynote Address: The Honorable Thomas Phillips, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas.
