Cases are called in order as they appear on the calendar.  Argument is limited to 20 minutes for each side except in direct appeals of judgments imposing the death penalty, which are limited to 30 minutes per side.

Appellant opens the argument, appellee replies.  Rebuttal is restricted to one attorney, representing appellant.  Companion cases are argued as one case.  The yellow light on the podium indicates 5 minutes remaining; the red light, that all time has expired.  Counsel must abide by time limitations.
