Recreational Sports & Wellness

Recreational Sports and Wellness is located in the University Center and is comprised of five major program areas.  AquaticsFitness/Wellness, Intramural Sports, Outdoor Adventures, and Sport Clubs give law students the opportunity to participate in a variety of interests and activities.

As a law student at Mercer, you will have an abundance of opportunities to participate in Recreational Sports programs.

Aquatics - Recreational Sports and Wellness oversees two swimming pools on campus.  The University Center swimming pool is primarily used for lap swim and offers aqua aerobics classes.  Plunkett Pool is open from mid April to mid October and allows you the opportunity to bring friends and family to take a dive or lay out by the pool for some sun.

Fitness/Wellness -  Mercer University's Fitness and Wellness program promotes health and wellness by providing services, resources, and opportunities for law students to actively engage in healthy lifestyle behaviors.  The program offers and exciting schedule of over 20 group fitness classes, special events, and a rewarding "Healthy U" fitness incentive programs.

Intramural Sports -  The Intramural Sports program provides law students the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.  Through intramurals, you can interact and compete with not only members of the law school community, but with undergraduate and graduate students at Mercer University as well.  Sports such as flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, golf, tennis, bowling and over 20 additional activities are offered throughout the fall and spring semester.

Outdoor Adventures -  Outdoor Adventures provides outdoor travel opportunities.  The goal is to challenge self perceived limits, have fun, and build a strong appreciation for the natural environment.  Trips include whitewater rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, and snow skiing.  We also have tents, sleeping bags, kayaks, canoes and additional equipment for check-out FREE of charge.

Sport Clubs -  Over ten different sport clubs are available for law students to join ranging from Cycling to Volleyball to the newly formed Equestrian Club.  The clubs provide excellent opportunities to pursue new interests and become a part of the Mercer community.
